Those professionals participating in a Cover of Excellence® Scheme may apply.

A Professional Association administering a Cover of Excellence® Scheme may apply.

Grant applications are invited in the following areas:

  • Codes of ethics
  • Codes of practice
  • Quality management
  • Risk management
  • Complaints resolution
  • Voluntary mediation
  • Membership requirements
  • Discipline of members
  • Continuing occupational education

Successful projects will meet an identified professional standards need, improve consumer protection or facilitate improvements in professional standards.

Applications for the fourth round of Star Grants are open from 1st November, 2013 until 28th February, 2014.

Conditions

Grants do not include GST.

Successful applicants will be invited to enter a Funding Agreement, based on the project plan and milestones in the grant application.

Information from successful applications will be incorporated into the Funding Agreement and will be used to determine the timing and size of milestone payments.

The Office of the Professional Standards Councils may contact you to discuss details in developing the Funding Agreement.

As part of the Funding Agreement there are provisions for promotion of Star Grant recipients.

It is recommended that you obtain legal advice before entering into a Funding Agreement.
